Nikon Zf in Berlin

Berlin, with its vibrant history and dynamic modernity, was the perfect backdrop for testing my Nikon Zf paired with the Nikkor 24-120mm f/4 S and the 40mm f/2 lenses. As I wandered through the bustling streets, each turn unveiled a unique blend of the old and the new. The Zf’s retro design felt oddly fitting in a city that balances its storied past with contemporary cool. 😏

The 24-120mm f/4 S lens was my go-to for capturing Berlin’s iconic landmarks. From the grandeur of the Brandenburg Gate to the somber beauty of the Berlin Wall, this versatile zoom lens handled it all with crisp clarity and vibrant detail. The consistent f/4 aperture allowed for smooth transitions between the bright morning light and the softer hues of evening.

Switching to the 40mm f/2 for street photography was a revelation. This compact lens brought out the soul of Berlin, capturing candid moments with a natural perspective. The f/2 aperture was perfect for low-light scenes in cozy cafes and intimate portraits against the urban backdrop.

I hope you will like the pictures! All photos are edited with my Lightroom presets, which can be downloaded below.
