I got to spend three days in the charming city of Porto, and boy, was it an adventure. It rained for two out of those three days, but let me tell you, Porto is beautiful no matter the weather. Although, let’s be honest, pictures do pop a bit more when the sun decides to make an appearance.
Armed with my Nikon Zf and the trusty 40mm f2 lens, I set out to capture the essence of Porto. This camera, with its retro look and modern guts, felt like the perfect companion for the city’s mix of old-world charm and vibrant culture. From the colorful azulejos tiles on every corner to the bustling Ribeira district by the Douro River, every scene was a photographer’s dream.
The 40mm f2 lens was a total champ. Its versatile field of view handled everything I threw at it, from wide shots of the city’s iconic bridges to close-ups of street performers. The f2 aperture came in handy, especially on those overcast days, ensuring my shots were sharp and full of detail, even when the light was playing hard to get.
I don’t want to write too much here, as I like seeing pictures more than reading text myself 😏 This is, I think, the third post about the Nikon Zf, and as you can see, I really like this camera. The only thing I don’t like is the flip screen. It gets in the way when trying to take waist-level photos, but hey, it is what it is. Hopefully, the next iteration will give us a better implementation.
I hope you will like the pictures! All photos are edited with my Lightroom presets, which can be downloaded below.
